Stainless Steel Material Options
304 stainless steel is suitable for many general industrial applications. For better corrosion resistance in certain environments, 316 or 316L may be preferred.
For shafts requiring higher surface hardness or wear resistance, grades such as 420 or 440C can be considered with the appropriate heat treatment.
Precision Stepped Diameters
The shaft can have several diameters for bearings, couplings, gears, and other mechanical components.
We pay particular attention to the diameter transitions and the position of shoulders because these features determine how the parts locate during assembly.
Accurate Bearing Seats
A bearing seat needs the correct diameter, surface finish, and relationship to the shaft axis.
An incorrect fit may allow unwanted movement or make bearing installation difficult. We machine these areas according to the bearing specifications and customer drawings.
Custom Threads and Grooves
External threads, retaining ring grooves, keyways, and mounting flats can be added to match the final assembly.
These features are machined according to their functional requirements rather than applying unnecessarily tight tolerances across the entire part.
Custom Shaft Manufacturing
We manufacture straight shafts, stepped shafts, motor shafts, and other non-standard rotating components.
Our precision CNC machined components demonstrate related machining features used in motion control and mechanical assemblies.
