How does wire edm work

Precise and efficient cutting can be achieved through electrodes and insulating liquids. The materials of the electrodes are usually copper wire, molybdenum wire, tungsten alloy, etc., and the insulating liquid is also called coolant, which is mostly industrial mineral oil, deionized water, etc. When cutting, under the action of high voltage current, the extremely high temperature generated by the electric spark discharge can easily cut the workpiece. During the cutting process, there will be no problems of wear and damage. It can cut metals with high hardness, high brittleness, and ordinary processes that cannot be processed.
