Material and Thickness Options

We offer flexibility in material selection to match project needs:

  • SUS 304 Stainless Steel— Excellent corrosion resistance and durability. Thickness is fully selectable. While 2.3 mm (2.3T) is a common and reliable choice for boxes around 600 × 600 × 210 mm, we can produce thicker walls (2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, or more) when higher mechanical strength or additional robustness is required.
  • Die-Cast Aluminum— Preferred when weight savings, complex shapes, or better heat dissipation matter. Note that aluminum die-casting requires custom mold development, involving initial tooling investment and longer lead times for the first production run. It becomes very cost-effective at higher volumes.

IP Rating Flexibility

IP protection level is also selectable according to your application. IP66 is one of the most requested ratings for dust-tight performance and resistance to powerful water jets. Depending on the environment — whether outdoor, wash-down areas, or more demanding conditions — we can discuss and recommend the appropriate IP rating and design the enclosure accordingly.

Rapid Prototyping Capabilities

For new or complex designs, we strongly recommend prototyping before full production. Our efficient verification process includes:

  • 3D printing for quick form and fit checks
  • CNC secondary machining for precise dimensions and hole patterns
  • Surface treatment to simulate final finish and performance

This approach works well for both complete junction boxes and individual spare parts, allowing engineers to validate installation, cable routing, and sealing before committing to volume orders.

Typical Custom Project Flow
  1. Requirement Review— Share target dimensions, quantity, preferred material, selectable thickness, desired IP rating, and any special features (such as custom perforations).
  2. Design Discussion— We advise on standard sizes versus fully custom solutions.
  3. Prototyping— When needed, using the 3D + CNC + surface treatment method.
  4. Manufacturing & Finishing— Precise hole machining, proper sealing design, and final surface treatment.
  5. Documentation— Material certificates, inspection reports, and available test data.

For instance, we recently assisted a Korean partner requiring SUS 304 junction boxes with 2.3mm thickness and IP66 performance. After confirming their selectable parameters and reviewing options, the project moved forward smoothly.

  • Clearly specify your preferred thickness — we can accommodate 2.3 mm and above.
  • Define the required IP rating based on actual site conditions.
